Role Summary:
Here at the Realtime Agency, we are growing, and as we expand, we are looking for an exceptionally ambitious brand new Head of Search to join our team, based in London!
You will lead and shape our PPC function. In this key leadership role, you will take ownership of the overall direction and growth of our paid search offering, driving revenue growth and ensuring commercial success.
As the Head of Search, you will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, ensuring excellence in campaign strategy, execution, and performance. With a focus on commercial outcomes, you will work closely with senior stakeholders to set business objectives, identify growth opportunities, and drive innovation across paid search channels.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing long-term strategies that align with the company’s business goals, optimising spend, and maximizing ROI. By leveraging your in-depth industry knowledge and leadership experience, you will ensure that we stay ahead of industry trends and continuously enhance the value we deliver to clients.
In this role, you will act as a strategic advisor, collaborating with cross-functional teams to influence wider business decisions, while ensuring that the Paid Search team delivers against key financial targets and growth ambitions.
Job requirements
You are the right candidate for the role if you have/are:
- Minimum 5 years Paid Search related experience at a senior managerial level
- Experience of / knowledge of additional media channels
- Experience in a full-service agency working closely with creative teams
- Certified by Google and Bing for Search, Shopping, Mobile and Display
- Very proficient in excel and campaign builds, including Google Ads Editor and Google Analytics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A strong eye for detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Passion for digital media and industry developments
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients, in particular, explaining technical concepts to those in non-technical roles
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Ability to manage multi-site clients and formulate relevant strategies
- Strong understanding of media research tools: understanding their strengths/weaknesses and when and how to effectively use them
- Keen attention to detail and an analytical approach to achieving objectives
- Data-driven and proactive approach to problem solving and analysis
- Google Data Studio experience: Setting up and expanding reporting
Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor, guide and manage the PPC team ensuring consistent and outstanding service delivery, ensuring professional development and career progression is in place
- Lead, develop and optimise the global PPC service to ensure we are always at the forefront of PPC initiatives, regularly performing research and insight analysis (target audiences, geographic targeting, timing and scheduling strategy)
- Write and deliver PPC strategies, and oversee these strategies into a best practise media recommendation
- Work closely alongside our Programmatic & Social channels to ensure a synergised approach for each client
- Illustrate a deep understanding of our client’s products, competitors, industry, and marketing goals, and effectively translate this knowledge into targeted search strategies
- Strategise, build and execute PPC campaigns across all platforms (Google Ads etc.)
- Work closely with Client Service Teams and Head of Strategy to align on activity and progress of PPC services, overseeing and retaining a diverse portfolio of clients
- Implement and enhance PPC best practices across paid ads, creative, CRO, landing pages, product strategy, forecasting and all analytic tools
- Collaborate with other channels to play a key role in new business discussions for Paid Search, contributing expertise as needed to support overall strategy and client acquisition
- Keep up to date with current and future industry trends through training and research
