🙌🏼 Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a passionate Senior Data Scientist with expertise in experimental and numerical physics, ideally with significant experience in taking measurements in an industrial or laboratory environment.
Our proprietary IoT boxes collect behavioral data on the use of our customers' elevators, escalators, automatic doors, etc. This data is then processed using AI algorithms and allows:
- To observe and predict the behavior of devices (predictive maintenance)
- To alert intervention teams in real time during breakdowns
- To provide usage statistics to help our customers in their decision-making (intelligent CAPEX strategy, flow optimization, energy saving strategy, etc.)
It is in this context of continuous improvement of our IoT boxes, sensors, processing and algorithms that this role takes place.
📈 What will be your future role?
You will work closely with our IoT team based in Paris and will be required to:
- Work in the field alongside experienced engineers and technicians to understand practical needs and operational constraints
- Design and execute experimental plans to validate hypotheses and innovate in the field of predictive maintenance
- Work closely with the Product Engineering team to integrate your work into our technology solutions
Your role will combine research, development and concrete implementation of innovative IoT solutions:
Data analysis and modeling:
- Explore, clean and analyze data from sensors (vibrations, temperature, energy consumption, etc.)
- Integrating hybrid approaches combining physical models and data-driven models
- Developing machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) algorithms adapted to predictive maintenance issues
IoT solutions design:
- Collaborate with hardware teams to define and validate sensor specifications
- Management of sensor calibration and physical interpretation of collected signals
- Contribute to the optimization of the data acquisition chain (edge computing, signal filtration, etc.)
Prototype development:
- Designing on-edge (greengrass) real-time data processing and communication software
- Develop model prototypes for PoCs integrating industrial constraints
Collaboration and documentation:
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (IoT engineers, Data team, Product and engineering team, Lift/Escalator technical experts)
- Write technical reports and scientific publications (if applicable)
👑 You are the right person for us if:
- You have a solid command of statistics, Machine Learning and physical modeling applied to sensors (vibrations, acoustics, thermodynamics, etc.) as well as the advantages and limitations of data collected by sensors (Bias, Uncertainties, etc.)
- You have already worked with data from physical sensors, managed their calibration and interpreted their signals
- You are proficient in Python (numpy, pandas, etc.), SQL, as well as signal processing tools
- You are curious, independent, creative and know how to popularize complex technical concepts
- You speak French and English fluently
🌟 Boints point:
- Significant experience in an industrial project (predictive maintenance, fusion of data from multiple sensors)
- Experience with embedded IoT systems or advanced algorithms for predictive analysis
- Knowledge of the AWS suite (IoT Core, Greengrass etc ...)
- Expertise in energy optimization or CAPEX strategies
Hybrid work possible from Paris (ideally) or London for proximity to our field teams with whom you will be required to interact frequently.
