The Role

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to join our growing Data team at Reown. The Data team processes TBs of both off-chain and on-chain data from 10M+ users, 500+ wallet apps and 20k+ dapp projects integrating through Appkit, Walletkit and the WalletConnect Network. This role will work closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to understand usage, uncover insights and help drive growth for all our verticals. This role will also have a special focus on analyzing on-chain data.
Day to Day:
- You’ll write complex SQL queries that extract and combine data from on-chain and off-chain logs to power internal and customer-facing analytics.
- You’ll create dashboards and tools to allow discoverability and self-serve data to other team members and track KR.
- You’ll do deep-dive analysis into specific topics and share them with internal stakeholders.
- Help design, implement, and evolve Reown's onchain data infra
- You’ll build, maintain and monitor end-to-end data pipelines to create new datasets and support new features.
- You’ll write data health-checks and alerts to ensure data correctness, consistency and freshness.
- You’ll meet periodically with product managers and internal stakeholders to understand their data needs, discuss insights and detect opportunities for new data products.
Requirements
- 5+ years of working in the analytics stack within a fast paced environment and are familiar with the growing set of analytics tooling solutions. You are very comfortable working in SQL.
- 3+ years of production experience with SQL templating engines, like DBT, distributed query engines ( Bigquery, Athena, Spark) , data warehouses, and BI tools.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices, including coding standards, design patterns, version control (e.g., Git), testing methodologies, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- You’ve demonstrated experience using AWS/GCP/Azure services for deploying and managing applications. Familiarity with Github, CI/CD pipelines and using tools like Github Actions and infrastructure as code frameworks like Terraform.
- Comfortable writing Python scripts for ETL processes and data manipulation. Proficient in using libraries like pandas for data analysis and transformation. Experience with handling data storage, file systems, and working with various data formats (e.g., CSV, JSON, Parquet).
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance, taking initiative to identify and solve problems, while also possessing exceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Plusses:
- Previous experience working with on-chain protocols/smart contracts. You’re familiar with concepts like RPC call, topic0, log/trace or you have previously built Dune dashboards.
- You’ve experience working with Clickhouse.
- You’ve previous experience using Superset / Tableau like dashboarding tools.
